I have been a terrible blogger. My apologies. I wish I had some deep blog to write, but..I don't. I could blog my opinion on the election, but it doesn't matter and I do not feel like hearing everybodies rants about it. SO I had already been thinking about doing one of those what am I watching/reading/listening to blogs. Then Missy(the blog I read, and am slightly obsessed with) did a blog on it, so I took it as confirmation to do one. THEN, Amy Garnett did one about her DVR, so I took that as my second laying of the fleece(OT reference! WOOHOO!) and so here it is!
I am watching:
In the move we lost DirecTV and our DVR. We have cable at the CH and no DVR. I am okay with this. I spend most of my down time reading and such. There are two shows I try SO VERY HARD! to watch. Wednesday nights I try to have my little sweet children ready for bed and myself ready for bed so that I can be in front of my tv by 8. Criminal Minds happens then. I cannot make myself not watch. I love the whole figuring out why people do what they do aspect. Penelope is pretty much my favorite pretend character on TV right now. Reid is not far behind. And Shemar Moore is just so darn pretty. Do not follow him on twitter tho. He post lots of pretty pictures but his language is bad PLUS he is pretty liberal. I just quit following and watch him be pretty as Derek Morgan. Then, immediately following Criminal Minds, my other favorite hour of tv, Duck Dynasty. I just do not know that I can accurately put my love for this show into words. I love the whole dynamic. The southern wisdom, the redneck antics, and the beautiful bearded men. Yep, I love me some facial hair. I am in love with Jase. Dustin knows. He actually got online to try to find me a "Team Jase" shirt like Jase wore on the show last night. I will have one. They are not available yet, but I will be all over that. I desperately want Uncle Si to be my best friend. I would love to just sit and hear his stories. The laughter that Dustin and I get from this show everyweek is so refreshing because it is laughter that is not induced my inappropriate jokes or gimmicks. Just hilarity. Last Man Standing just started back and we really enjoy it too. Tim Allen is great. He is exactly like Dustin would be if he has 3 daughters. I watched Reba's new show, Malibu Country, last week too and I was pleased. I was a huge fan of her old show, so I am hoping this one is just as good. Reba is one of my all time favorite people.
I am reading:
I have gotten to do a lot of reading while the kids are at school. Reading has always been one of my favorite things. Circlemaker by Mark Batterson is about prayer and it completely changed my prayer life. Not A Fan by Kyle Idleman is so good. It will make you seriously evaluate your life and see are you desperately seeking Christ and following Him everyday or are you merely a fan. Right now I am reading Tim Tebow's biography. So far so good. I am also reading The Peacemaker by Ken Sande. I am going through it with a women's group on Tuesday's. It is about solving and handling conflict biblically. I have learned so much. I think every church should go through it. It would drastically cut down on the conflicts in peoples' lives. The last thing I am reading right now is Can We Talk? It is a bible study by Priscilla Shirer. I love her stuff and this book is no different. It was a direct answer to prayer. I wanted something to help with my prayers and to take me so much deeper in to the word. I got it. I tweeted her on Twitter and she wrote me back! I was so excited! :)
I am listening to:
I just recently got the Zac Brown Band's newest record called Uncaged. Love it. We have followed them for a long time and this record is one of their best if not the best. Whenever I get to chose the music, this is it. Dustin has been listening to a ton of Christian rap. Lecrae, 116 Clique, and some others. I cannot understand it, but it is good for him because it was an answer to a great problem he had. He LOVES rap music but had been convicted about the terrible lyrics. He deleted all his other stuff, but needed something to feel the gap. Enter Lecrae. He even went to a concert a while back. I am happy he has music with a great message that he thoroughly enjoys.
Well, there it is. Maybe I turned you on to something new. Maybe I bored you out of your mind. IF so, sorry. Let me know if there is something you think I need to hear, read, or watch!

Lol, I hear you loud and clear with reference to your TV/Parental duties; I used to have the hardest time coordinating bedtimes with TV start times! I actually got the Hopper from DISH a few months back, and problems are solved! I love the PrimeTime Anytime feature, which automatically records the entire primetime lineup on CBS, ABC, NBC and FOX, every night, and stores the shows for 8 days! A DISH coworker got me interested in this, and now, even if the kids are fussy, I know it'll all be there waiting for me when I finally get them to bed!
