My take on Chik-Fil-A

So, today is Chik-Fil-A Appreciation Day.  Let me start by saying I am glad that someone stood by their beliefs and did it as kindly as he did.  He did not 'gay bash', or scream 'they're all going to Hell."  He just said , I agree with what the bible says and stand by it.  As a Christian who tries to love the sinner, hate the sin.  I appreciate that so much.  I do want to state this though...we as Christians are yelling about the "sanctity" of marriage.  Why do we want homosexuals to respect the sanctity of marriage when we as Christians do not respect it?  The divorce rate for Christians is the exact same as that of the unsaved world.  I know Christian couples who get divorced everyday.  I know Christian people who go into marriage not understanding the covenant they are making before God.  I know people in marriages who are having sex before marriage.  I know people who are having affairs all the time.  Those people are just as guilty of a sexual sin as a homosexual.  They are just as guilty of "ruining" the sanctity of marriage and we are saying nothing.  People, if we want other people WHO AREN'T EVEN SAVED and cannot even understand the word of God because they aren't saved(the bible says that the veil has not been lifted from their eyes so they cannot get it) to respect the sanctity of marriage how about we as Christians start respecting it.  Start trying to get those people into the Word of God so that He can reveal himself to them.  Start praying and seeking God while dating so that we keep the marriage bed pure.  Start fighting hard for our marriages so that marriage remains that covenant that we would not dare break.  Start showing unsaved people just how good our Jesus is and what His LOVE is all about.  Today, I will be eating at Chik-Fil-A because I am so thankful that Mr.Cathey kindly stood up for a Christian value.  But in doing so I won't be bashing gays.  I will be very much praying that all those people that I see in line and that are so adamantly posting on social networks will begin to fight hard for the sanctity of marriage in all areas.
