It has been a while since I wrote..sorry. Lots has been going on but nothing I thought really blog worthy. BUT I feel better when I do this so here goes boring.
Dustin and I joined a program called E-Mealz.com. Dave Ramsey talks about them so we decided to see how we liked it, and I LOVE IT! They plan your meals for you depending on the things you chose when you signed up and make the grocery list for you. Dustin and I chose the portion controlled meals which already has the Weight Watchers points on the meals for you. It has made my grocery shopping SO much easier and we are eating stuff we normally hadn't. FUN! The meals are really good too!
I started yoga last week and it is so much fun. Laura Vest has been doing it for a while and I decided I wanted to try. I went with her last Tuesday to St. Luke's UMC in Decatur and enjoyed it so much that I signed up for the class. I struggle so often with being still before God. I either fall asleep or my mind wanders no matter how hard I try. This has helped so much with it. I feel relaxed and calm and being in God's presence and not doing anything has been so much easier. I also have NEVER been very flexible. I hope this will help it very much. I went for a run Friday afternoon, so Saturday's class was much appreciated. It helped work out the stress and soreness. I love new things!
Our foster classes got pushed back. I was disappointed because I was so ready to start but God's timing is so much better than mine. So just waiting on God.
Dustin and I went and stayed in Tunica for a birthday get away for the both of us. We got beautiful rooms at a cheap price. Can't beat it. We stayed there but spent almost all of Saturday in Memphis. We ate at Hard Rock on Beale Street and then went to Graceland. To say that I was excited would be an understatement. I was raised in a house with a HUGE Elvis fan. My mom was slightly obsessed. It kinda rubbed off on me. I was so excited to see the house, the memorabilia, the cars, and the airplanes. Dustin wasn't thrilled but he went because I wanted to..well he ended up really enjoying it. The cars and airplanes were so cool that he forgot he wasn't supposed to like it :) We ate that night at the Paula Deen buffet at our hotel. A PAULA DEEN BUFFET. I am not sure those words should be allowed this side of Heaven but it exists. It was so yummy!!! I was once again reminded how lucky I am to be married to my best friend. We genuinely enjoy each others company and make each other laugh constantly. I fall more in love each day and that is one of God's greatest gifts to me.
God has big things on the horizon for our church. We have been doing small groups and 40 days of Community. This is going to lead to even bigger things for us I believe. Dustin and I are still helping with youth and cannot wait to see where that will lead. Don't worry, I will keep you updated on that.
Hope life is treating you well! :)
