I am really going to start making an effort to write on here more. I don't know if anybody reads these but they help me process my thoughts. I was so good about it in Montgomery because I had so much spare time and I thought that maybe people would be interested because it was something different in my life. Well now you are all stuck hearing the day to day life I live and I LOVE it but I guess I feel that most of you won't enjoy it. I was motivated to get on here today because of an AMAZING book I read. SO here goes.
I just finished Unplanned by Abby Johnson. Read it. She is a former abortion clinic director for Planned Parenthood who now works for Coalition For Life. Her story is remarkable. It will help you see the crazy web Planned Parenthood weaves. It will help you see that anger and hatred won't make a difference in this battle. Only showing love and grace and patience will bring mercy and healing to these women and these people involved in the abortion world. And only showing people the Love of Jesus Christ will save precious unborn babies. It will also show you that even though we don't always know how God is working...He is. It make take 5, 10, or even 50 years to see the fruit of His labor but He has something wonderful waiting in store for us. I implore you to go get this book and read it. Lifeway has it right now. It will be worth every penny. I was so moved by her story I found her website online and wrote her a personal email. This girl is amazing and her story may very well change the war on abortion.
I am LOVING my job. Not much more to say about it other than that. For those of you who don't knwo I am now the secretary at George Plumbing. God sent this to me as soon as I started praying that if I was not supposed to teach right not, I would really like a secretary's job and BAM! God showed up. I don't know why I am surprised! God always shows up. Always. Maybe not how we want Him to but how He sees best.
I am teaching a girl's bible study and I am begging for your prayers. Begging. I have a ton of impresionable young ladies that I want to make a difference in. I am pleading with God to use me to help make them classy, outspoken, and strong fighters in this battle for His glory. They all struggle with so many issues that so many young girls do. Some of them are dealing with issues that they may have to fight for a long time. I want to help teach them that Satan's lies have no power over Jesus Christ and that you can live such a JOY filled life if you look to the right source. I know God has so much to teach me through this and I cannot wait to see the work He is about to do. I am so excited right now I wanna jump out of my seat!
Dustin and I celebrated 1 year this past Sunday. I love that boy more every day. He bought me Gigi's cupcakes and 4 books! If that ain't love, I don't know what is! We spent Friday together just sharing our time...and I am pretty sure that is the best gift anyone can give you. He worked Saturday so I went with some people from church to cook in Hackelburg. Then Sunday we went to church and ate with my family and then got to eat our wedding cake top. That night we did what every couple celebrating their anniversary wants to do and we chaperoned a youth group outing! ha! We really did enjoy it. We believe God wants us to be involved in this group and so we are doing as He sees fit.
Sunday at church we had a women's prayer breakfast and I LOVED IT! I love that the women of our church are banding together to be a force to be reckoned with. And if you don't believe that a bunch of southern, God fearing, praying women is a forced to be reckoned with you got another thing coming! We believe that God has great things for us, our families, and our church and we want to be a part of it. Heck, He already is doing it and we are a part of it. That makes me wanna shout right there! Praise God!
I probably should have told you to put on your seatbelt for that crazy little ride I just took you on. I had no idea I was going to write about all that and it just poured out. Maybe I had more I wanted to get off of my chest than I thought I did. I hope your lives are being blessed and I would love to hear from you, if there is a you out there reading this. Have a great day, smile at somebody or maybe even hug them, and sometime take the time to remeber the joy God gives us. I am gonna leave you with a little quote I just read in the book I just started..."What makes humility so desirable is the marvelous thing it does to us; it creates in us a capacity for the closest possible intimacy with God." -Monica Baldwin
