I guess you all can blame Amy Garnett for this one. She did a blog last week about the little 'oddities' about her. I thought it was a good idea, so I think I am going to do the same. The difference is that she called hers "Don't Judge Me", I on the other hand don't blame you if you do judge me. I get that I am weird, and I am suprisingly ok with it. There are things I would like to change but I also realize they make me who I am. And anything I say on here CANNOT be as weird as having a Lee Greenwood obsession like Amy has.
1. I am OBSESSED with anything Disney princess, especially Cinderella. I blame this on 3 people: My Momma, Jordan Brooke, and Sydney Grace. I always loved them as long as I can remember. I had the books and movies and read and watched them all the time. My Mom enjoys them too so she encouraged this. I had slightly moved away from my obsession, then the girls came along. With them around I got to experience the wonderfulness of the princesses all over again and fell more in love with them than the first time. Most kids ask for teenage things for their 16th birthday...not this kid...I asked for tickets to see Cinderella in Huntsville by the Broadway Theatre League..and it was wonderful!! My wedding cake had Cinderella and Prince Charming on the top of it. I often embarrass my husband in public places because I get distracted and want to go look at stuff that has them on it. He finally gave in and let me hang my princess calendar in the kitchen that my mom gave me for Christmas(told you she encouraged me). I think I enjoy them for the fact that they let you slip away for a while into a fairy tell where everything has a happy ending and ANYBODY can be a princess. They all have different stories and backgrounds, but they all find love and their own version of a happy ending. Ahh...so wonderful.
2. I LOVE gummy bears. I keep a 5 pound bag by my chair at home. My mother-in-law recently brought me back gummie bears from Germany, where they originated. They were so yummy and did not last long in my house. I get a handful and eat them by color, always saving clear for last. I know, weirdo.
3. I cry all the time. This is the one I wish I could change. It is awkward and frustrating to not be able to say what you need to because you are crying. Ugh. I cry when I am happy, sad, mad, upset, and I have been know to cry for no reason. My poor husband learned this early on and he handles it well. Especially since he and my father can make me cry like no one else. They can look at me the wrong way, and I lose it. It was always that way with my dad and now with Dustin. They can mean nothing by it and I lose it. I can even know they don't mean anything by it and something in me just lets go. Tears flow. Poor guys.
I am sure I have many more strange things about me, so their may be a part 2 of this at some point but that is all I have at the moment. Enjoy the list..maybe even get a laugh or two out of it. And embrace your own differences!
