So...this is a day late, but I think they will forgive me.
Yesterday was my two cousins's birthday. They are now 11 years old. I just wanted to take the time to let them know how special they are to me.
For a long time, Josh and I were the only two kids around in our family. We were so excited when Frankie and Sylaina had Luke. I finally had a living baby doll. I couldn't have been happier. As that precious baby boy got older, I became less important and Josh became his idol. They played ball, army, and whatever else they could come up with. I needed a girl! I think my precious Nanny knew this and maybe put in an order to God. I got not only one girl but two!! I couldn't have been more excited. When they were born I spent so much time at Sylaina and Frankie's house. I fed them, changed them, played with them. I cannot believe those two baby girls are now 11. They have grown into two beautiful young ladies. They have extremely different personalities and look so very different. They are wonderful in their own ways and I think it is great that they are so different. I have been so blessed to get to spend so much time with them. I have been their "babysitter" over the summer. I have dressed them as princesses. I have baked with them. I have hopefully taught them as much as they have me.
Jordan is my namesake. My middle name is Jordan. Most people think we don't have a lot in common...but they are very wrong. She looks like me in my younger pictures. She cannot stand to do bad in class but doesn't have to study much. She is completely unorganized and her room in never clean! She tries to make friends with the people who seem to be left out. She loves sports. She also loves playing with her brother. Jordan and I share all of these characteristics. Jordan Brooke, I love you and I hope you know everyday just how special you are. I hope you always befriend everyone and try your best at everything. And always remember its ok for everything not to be perfect or in its place. It makes life more interesting!
Sydney is the one they call my "mini me." She acts A LOT like me. She loves to be the center of attention. Loves to get dressed up for a beauty walk but loves her sports too. She has a bit of an attitude and doesn't let anyone mess with her. She strives very hard in class to be her best. She looks like me, the way I look now. She loves to dance. Normally, when she gets in trouble...I somehow get named. And I think she loves my husband more than I do! HAHA! Sydy, I love you and I hope that you always remember how great you are. Continue to love to get dressed up and also to love to throw on some sweats. Always stand up for yourself and use your attitude for good!
These girls are wonderful and if you haven't had a chance to sit down and have a chat with them, do so. They will have you laughing and maybe even teach you something!
