Workouts.

Good week here.  Just counting down the days until we get home.  Only 3 more weeks.  Our last day here is looking like February the 13th.  WOOHOO!!

I have started doing Pilates and I am enjoying it very much.  I just picked up a DVD at WalMart and I am glad I did.  The workouts on the DVD don’t take very long and I very much feel the results.  I have hurt everyday since I started…but I think that means that the muscles are actually working J

I also have started something called The Couch to 5K running program.  I would recommend it to anyone.  It is a 3 day a week running program.  You can just google it and get the workout.  It takes about 30 minutes and it keeps my attention.  I struggle when I have to run on a treadmill because it loses my attention.  I find myself contstantly checking the time and how far I have run and I get bored and just want to stop.  This workout changes pace all the time and I LOVE IT!  I do not get bored and before I know it, I am done.  I even found a free app for my Droid phone that is wonderful.  I know several other people in the community are doing this program and they all like it very much too.  It can have anybody running a 5K in 9 weeks.  That is impressive.  I have never had the desire to do a 5K, but who knows…when I finish this, I just might.  I hate lifting weights and such, but I want to lose weight, so running seems like my best option.

I still haven’t heard anything from Cullman Christian School.  They got my application this past Friday.  I was told it could take a while to respond because the teacher hasn’t left yet and the application was very detailed.  OR they could just have not liked my application and aren’t going to call me…Please keep the prayers coming!

One of the biggest things I miss while here….my grandparents.  I miss just hopping in my car at lunch time and going to Granny’s.  She always fixes me lunch, me and her and Papaw read the paper together, watch TV and just chat.  Those are some of my most favorite times.   I know I am so lucky to have those times and I try so very hard not to take them for granted.  Granny owes me several meals when I get home…maybe some homemade soup, fried potatoes, a good salad…Yummy!  They have taught me so much in life and I am very lucky to call them mine.
