My husband came home last night and informed me that I might have a job next week down here in the office with him. It is just so much for one person, plus he has guys an hour and forty-five minutes away in Dothan and has to travel there some. So I am needed to help out. That was fine and kind of expected. Well, he called about 10 minutes ago and informed me that I start tomorrow morning. Whoa. On top of that he has to go to Dothan tomorrow morning and I will be in the office by myself. Double Whoa. Oh well...might as well jump in with both feet! That means we will be working together and together here...all day together...hope we don't kill each other! :) Just kidding. I know it will be lots of fun. We have worked together before and it was just fine.
I know in our Christian walk we are supposed to memorize scripture. I do a terrible job of this..actually worse than terrible. A horrifying job. Part of the problem is that I am terrible at memorization. I almost failed a college class that was graded on memorization. The teacher knew I knew the material and counted my final project for more because it proved my knowledge and saved my butt from my failures on memorization tests. So that is part of my problem. The other, much larger part, is laziness. Of course I am going to struggle with memorization but God will help. Quit your excuses Haley! At the Deeper Still Conference they talked so much about knowledge of scripture and memorization, I got home and my Bible Study is talking heavily about it, and then I get a tweet on twitter about memorizing scripture. I went to Beth Moore's blog and she encourages 2 verses a month. I thought to myself...I can do 2 a month..come on. SO I say all that to say..I am going to memorize 2 verses a month. I would love for some of you to join me. We can all be accountability partners and encouragers. Please let me know if you would like to join with me! She uses those index card spirals. It holds all the ones you do during the year. Sounds helpful. I think I will use one so I can keep it and keep them all together. This blog will also hold me accountable because I have now committed to this online. It is here forever. Cannot get out of it now. Mark 12:24 "Are you not in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God." To know the power of God I have to know His word. It will also help me in battles with Satan. Jesus defeated Satan's temptations by quoting Scripture. I sure wanna try it! Love you all and have a good day!

Okay, I'm in with you. I have a terrible time memorizing. Are you going to pick the scripture to memorize or do we get our own? I'll get my note card thingy and I'll do this with you. Good luck with your job. At least it gets you out and around people.
